Day 436: It's getting HOT out... I don't like hot. Today, we went out working, because Dad had some errends to do. One store does NOT like me to come in (they claim a rottweiler attacked a customer once there, and now they have a 'no rottweiler' policy... even though that dog was NOT a service dog, and I AM! hrmf.) so Dad just left me in the car like he always does- with the windows a little down. He won't be able to do that anymore. He keeps a temperature thingy in the car, and it got to 75 degrees!!! That may not sound like much, but the sky was overcast, and I was panting- cause I am a rubenesque girl (we try not to say FAT) and I have a permenant BLACK coloured fur coat. *sigh* Dad is going to have a chat with the manager there, since he thinks it is only the daytime assistant manager who is the problem, and not the manager who knows me very well from even BEFORE I was all trained, when I went with Dad but waited in the car. Then, since Dad shops there often, I can still go with him on THAT kind of errend, and go inside with him! YAY! On another note: I am thinking of going on strike. I am not getting my Cookie Quotient. I like my new food, even if it DOES have a picture of a vewry very fat dawg on it, and promises to 'control weight'... which sounds suspiciously like Dad's 'diet' foods... but it's all good, and it's made by Royal Canin, which uses human-grade ingredients now!! Dad found a food he wanted to switch me to even MORE, but this stuff is already 45 bucks a bag, and the new stuff is almost 60! (It's got NO grains in it, the one he wants me to get to be on!! It was SO yummy yummy... and is nothing but meats and veggies and other very good for me things.) He says that when I am at my 'ideal weight' that he will think about switching me from the fat-dawg food to that new one, even tho it costs a lot... cause you KNOW I'm worth it, right? Hey, if you never looked before- there is a couple of links at the bottom of my page: One should show you one of my friends, waiting for Adoption and their FOREVER home, at Happy Tails Rescue Association... and the other leads to a place called "Dogcessorize"- I just want you to consider going to both places and looking around. For one thing, there are a whole LOT of my friends, who even after a whole YEAR, have not found their forever home. I wish they could. For another, I know the nice lady who makes the LOVELY jewlery for dogs- and I want to be a Model for them. Wouldn't I be a good Model? I think so. I am Sex-AY. These peices of 'doggie jewlery' have been included in gift packs given to recipients of the Primetime Emmy Awards, and everyone LOVED them... they are so wonderful!! If you have a pet who is more than just a 'leather collar' type, consider buying him or her a little something pretty and flashy for those walks out on the town. These are not COLLARS... they're real-actual-spiffy-keen JEWLERY! I think that's the coolest thing in the whole wide world... every pretty dog deserves something NICE to wear when everyone is all dressed up already, like the holidays, or summer parties, right? I'm only 'pimping them out' on my blog because I think the person who owns Dogcessorize is just SO cool, and she makes such neato stuff. I love bandannas, but jewlery is even better! She offered to make one specially for ME, and that's just so cool, I can't tellya how cool it is... she deserves a biscuit. I do too, but Dad won't buy 'em while I am in 'training' to 'get svelte'... that's double-talk for "I'm on a diet". (SIGH) Note to the Neighbors: I know you liked Axel, but please stop asking how I am 'working out'. I am not Axel, I am Big Bertha. (and I don't work out, I am FAT, see?) Also, please stop calling me 'HIM'. I am not THAT fat. A lady just doesn't get a break, does she. hrmf. Big Bertha |
